  • Do you allow pets? Can I bring my dog or cat with me?

Yes. Pets are welcome in your assisted living apartment, with your love and care for their needs. Small pets are welcome to be "visitors only" in the memory care apartments.

  • How do I reserve an apartment?

Call Hope Hagert, our Sales & Marketing Manager, at (320) 484-9184 to schedule a meeting and to tour our community. She will assist you with any questions or concerns you might have about assisted living or memory care.

  • What makes Ecumen's memory care different?

Our award-winning Ecumen Awakenings program emphasizes human relationships and non-pharmaceutical remedies. We are driven to help re-awaken many residents whose physical and cognitive abilities have often been masked by an inappropriate use of antipsychotic drugs, by exploring alternative care approaches that could provide them a better quality of life.

  • How is it determined when a resident needs to move from Assisted Living to Memory Care?

Our nursing team will recommend when Memory Care is appropriate. When a resident needs a specialized, safe, and secure care environment due to the progression of dementia, we will communicate what we are seeing to the family, offer an assessment and discuss the supports provided by Memory Care.

  • What is the dining experience like at Oaks & Pines?

At Ecumen Oaks & Pines, dining can begin at our continental breakfast. Lunch, our main meal of the day, is included in the monthly apartment rental/basic service fee. The evening meal can be purchased either individually or as a package. Residents often enjoy having family and friends over for a meal, which we happily accommodate.

  • How do I know Ecumen Oaks & Pines is right for me or my loved one?

Ecumen Oaks & Pines is a mission-driven, nonprofit, senior living community offering Assisted Living and Memory Care apartments. Our Marketing and Nursing Teams will work closely with you and your family to determine care needs and help you make important decisions.

  • What is there to do once I make the move to The Oaks & Pines? Will I remain active?

Honoring individual choice is the highest goal at Ecumen Oaks & Pines. We offer a program of activities to meet the social, spiritual, physical, educational and creative needs of residents. Take a look at our activity calendar. We encourage you to like our page on Facebook to see all the wonderful activities happening at Ecumen Oaks & Pines.

  • Are there religious activities I can choose to participate in?

Ecumen Oaks & Pines offer regular spiritual gatherings for residents in our chapel and central meeting areas. We welcome many chaplains to accommodate the different spiritual needs in our community.

  • Does Ecumen Oaks & Pines offer any type of exercise or wellness classes?

Residents are challenged to improve their strength and flexibility throughout the week at on-site exercise classes. Contracted certified trainers offer engaging classes at no charge to our residents.

  • Do you have a location on campus for outdoor recreation?

The Oaks & Pines has a courtyard with a beautiful gazebo, sidewalk trails, raised flowerbeds and benches. Swings overlooking the pond provide a relaxing opportunity to watch our frequent wildlife visitors.
